FAQ

What is "Astaria"?

Astaria is a kind of Role-playing game with a couple of new ideas. There will be a new controller interface and real 3D Graphics. You have to fight "actively." That means you control every movement your character makes. Also you can enjoy fantastical movies which show the story. The NPC's will have their own life and their own jobs. I really want to implement as much story as possible to make it more interesting. At the beginning the story will be more in the background so that you have time to concentrate on the new control interface and how the game works. Later in the game the story will be more important after you know exactly how to play the game. But the game will also change a lot in the way you have to play it.

What is "Pluto and Jupiter Studios"?

We are just on our way to get really big, but we will show all these big companies what a game is! At the moment there are just two of us. Daniel is a real good programmer. He studies at the moment computer science in Germany. Enrico is at the moment in America as an Exchange Student and loves it.

What computer do I need to play "Astaria - Kingdom of Shadows"?

To use all the things which Astaria offers you need a good 3D Card and a fast Computer (minimum 233 MHZ). Nevertheless we offer you also to use the Software modus. For the Software modus you need a fast CPU (about 400MHz) and you cannot see all the details. The final version will not support software. but see under downloads to see a demo of Astaria.

How far is the developing?

We have now actualized to Jet3d and implemented the Thief 3d Model. Also we created a lot's of houses to make the city a life. We going to show the first fighting moves in the next demo. Also we are almost finished with a scripting engine to program the way the people of Astaria act.

Is the story really so simple?

Definitely not.

There are big changes in the storyline and game character. Sometimes, you will be unhappy with this changes, but sooner or later you will find out the good sides. It is just a great chance to see all parts of Astaria and it also makes it more interesting. Actually there are 5 games in Astaria. Each of them will play totally different.

Can I create Parties?

When you are nice to the NPCs, they may help you in some levels. There will never be real Parties that you know of from other role-playing games. Anyway sometimes it will really help you if the NPC decides to take part for a while.

Can I use magic?

Magic is an important part of the story. By using key combinations you can easily create spells. So there is no mana as in other games. And 'til the end, you will not discover all of the spells.
